Stephen Lange Ranzini

Stephen Lange Ranzini is the President & Chairman of University Bank, and the President & CEO of University Bancorp, Inc.

At the age of 23, after graduating as a scholarship student from Yale University, Stephen convinced Bank One Corporation to lend to a newly formed corporation of which he was President the monies necessary to buy a bank in a leveraged buyout. He then became the youngest bank holding company president in the U.S.A.

Stephen is also the U.S. delegate to the United Nations global financial services standards setting body, UN CEFACT TBG5,[1] as well as the International Organization for Standardization global standards setting body for financial services, ISO/TC 68, and sits on the board of directors of the U.S. financial services standards setting body, ANSI ASC X9.
